MOSS Community
Starting from the very beginning Maldives Open Source Society ("MOSS") was created by the community for the community, who wanted to share and help one another in a world of free software, along with intimate movements of achievements and celebrations. As time went on, more people joined MOSS and built a community of positive, encouraging individuals with a wide range of interests and backgrounds. We hope that you feel at home to share your ideas and work with MOSS, both your creative side as well as your friendly side.
Respect to One Another
MOSS is a wonderful community on a good cause and we are all attached at heart. However, like any other community it can also provide people with the means to insult and harass others without taking the full responsibility for their words. A community that allows that type of behavior will quickly decay, so we insist that while you are with MOSS you respect the people you encounter, their abilities and support. You are free to disagree, but you are not free to attack people simply for your amusement. If you wouldn't say it to someone's face, don't say it at all.
Conflicts Resolution
In MOSS we support and encourage each other in a meaningful way. When we do disagree, we do so intelligently, without resorting to name-calling. We expect new members to observe this philosophy. We think you'll really enjoy the positive atmosphere in MOSS.
Considering to Join MOSS
MOSS is not a party club that you join for increasing your fame or to show off how cool or smart you are. It is a vibrant community of intelligent and creative people. Before considering to join MOSS, we strongly encourage you to find if you share the same interests and can connect with our cause at heart, a world of free software. Of course anyone and everyone is always welcome at MOSS. The more you interact with the community, the more interest and connected you can become.
