Introducing MOSS Magazine

It has been a month since we were inspired to bring out the MOSS magazine. In the light of creating a magazine, invitation was opened for the MOSS members to write articles. We had a great response from many members, with some very interesting articles, but we kept them to a minimum. So here it is, MOSS: Your Monthly FLOSS Magazine, the very first issue.
This issue has a variety of articles, from why software need to be free to Linux basic to intermediate tutorials and a brief history of MOSS.
We will be using the magazine as a tool to bring articles, how-tos, news, security information, implementations and the use of Free and Open Source software from the community, for the community.
Of course, this is only the start, we are looking forward for your feedback and more articles for future releases. More importantly tell us what you want to see in the magazine, we value your feedback. At the same time, you can forward your reviews and we encourage if you have a public blog or website to review this magazine and say what you think. Here are some of the topics included in this issue:
You as a human deserve to use FLOSS! This article introduces the Free Software concepts as well as the Open Source Software model and goes on to talk about the importance of software freedom within a society as well as individually.
The Story of Mr.Shell A very subtle story combined with a tutorial on basic shell commands for navigating through the file system as well as the distinction between the types of programs.
The Linux Filesystem Standards Introduction to the file system standards, the history behind it and how it allowed most distributions to adhere to a set standard in organizing the installation and configuration.
